I came, I saw (someone do it really really fast), I decided I wanted to also be able to solve really really fast, so I purchased a $2 shop Rubik's cube and it has entertained me all day. I have solved it up until the last layer where I keep messing up the last step. Not to worry, now it is broken. It really was worth only $2. I will purchase a real one. I will conquer.
Oh and also I used a youtube tutorial.
Can I take a photo every day for a year? We shall see. Oh, and because it's getting to hard to pick in some cases, you can view my reject Project365 photos on http://www.flickr.com/photos/lumanna
Oh the old Rubiks. Used to be able to do it but that was far to long ago. Great shot and thanks for the memories.

@Owen Williams: I don't think it's any different than a friend teaching me how to do it. And anyway, fat lot of good it did me, I couldn't get the last move right and still haven't got it done yet! If anyone wants to buy me presents, buy me a proper rubik's cube.
